Insulet is on a mission to simplify life for people living with diabetes! We are looking for a UX Content Strategist in the growing Innovation & Strategy organization to accomplish our mission.

A UX Content Strategist will be a vital connection point for multiple cross-functional designs and research teams distributed across the country. They are responsible for the content management of UX content, deliveries, and downstream impacts. They will work closely with Design and Research Leads, and UX Management to coordinate content management solutions and consistent brand expression verbally and visually across the product suite. This role will also own design content and content solutions, including but not limited to tool and vendor management, rapid prototyping function, and other processes and special projects to accelerate research and design impact.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with significant experience contributing to innovation by connecting dots, building processes, and being flexible. A strong background in content management solutions, instructional technology and developing mobile applications is a must. They also exercise a balance of independent judgement and group organization in developing methods and processes to obtain results.


Design Content Tools

  • Create, standardize, implement, and communicate tools, processes, and templates for scaling UX deliverables, ensuring team members have the tools they need for the job. Ongoing assessment of team’s needs and current toolkit over time focusing on technical needs, scalability, global needs and collaboration
  • Propose process and tool improvements, including SOPs, integrations to current design tools, and evaluation of future tools
  • Manage and track team hardware, software, and other equipment needed for design and research activities (e.g., who has them, when they expire, etc.)
  • Collaborate with UX managers on vendor contracts and conversations for tools and outside agencies, which also includes processing invoices and reporting operations spending to managers on a quarterly basis

Design Content Strategy

  • Responsible for Brand continuity and cohesion of content (verbal and visual language and consistency) across products/platforms
  • Primary contact for all submissions to Arena
  • Review all final deliveries for dev ready and submit final deliveries to Arena on all programs
  • Connect the dots to downstream impacts based on deliveries and submissions

Single POC for downstream impacts from R&D program UX work: Web apps (Onboarding, Identity Mgmt.), Marketing, User Guides, Simulator App, Clinical Training materials, etc.

  • Working closely with UX Managers and Leads to identify impacts and coordinate downstream content outputs for Omnipod 5 (iOS/Android), Dash, Omnipod 5 INTL and other insulin delivery products (Moonshot, Inspire)
  • Primary contact for the Instructional Design team for assets and content
  • Responsible for Brand continuity and cohesion of content across products/platforms
  • Own the rapid prototyping functionality to coordinate prototypes for studies and design show-and-tells, provide training and guidance to researchers/designers on prototype creation, and build a self-serve prototyping capability. Also, provide complex prototypes when needed.
  • Perform other duties as required, including special projects in support of the design and research teams specifically around process improvements, content management solutions and building out technology platforms to support and scale UX deliveries.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in UX design/content management/instructional technology
  • Skilled in stakeholder management with various types of people including leadership, product management, and user experience professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Immense flexibility: driving a focused approach while being able to pivot in a growing, fast-moving organization
  • A charismatic leader who builds and maintains strong, positive relationships throughout the organization
  • Extensive experience in content management solutions, technical solutions and prototyping mobile and web apps
  • Familiarity with common UX design, front-end development, and accessibility tools and processes
  • Able to quickly adapt the design and research tools, preferably including Jira, Confluence, Sketch, Framer, Abstract, etc.
  • Agile/SAFE certification and transformation experience preferred
  • Continuous Process Improvement certification and/or experience
  • Worked in regulated medical spaces
  • Knowledgeable (or excited to learn) about diabetes

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional US travel, as needed (semi-annually)
  • Occasional international travel expected (semi-annually)

NOTE: This position is eligible for 100% remote working arrangements (may work from home/virtually 100%; may also work hybrid on-site/virtual as desired).
