Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Internet of Things Group (IoTG) as a Content Designer!

IoT Experiences is a team of UX architects, designers, researchers, and writers within Intel's Internet of Things Group. One of our team's key priorities is to ensure that Intel's Internet of Things platforms deliver a fantastic developer experience.

We are looking for a Content Designer to define user's information needs and determine the best way for that information to be consumed, designing content to meet business objectives, users' needs and learning goals.

Candidates should have experience making technical language and complex processes easy for users to understand, applying user-centered methodologies to define what content is needed, the best format and type, and how it should be structured.

In this role, you will work on an ambitious cross-disciplinary team, putting your technical know-how to work to creatively solve challenging problems that are critical to Intel's success. You should have a "can do" spirit, willingness to consider different technical and business approaches to hairy problems and a proven track record of driving from ambiguity to clear and impactful outcomes. We're seeking an individual with a passion and experience for turning ideas into reality and carrying impact through to Intel's partners and customers. Experience with current software development tools, processes, and practices at all levels of a solution stack would be extremely valuable.

Job responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Analysis of user's content needs and learning goals in alignment with the user journey
  • Content inventory, audit, and gap analysis
  • Content plan creation, detailing what content needs to be created and when it will be published
  • Information architecture, including content structure, taxonomies and classification schemes, and metadata frameworks
  • Content design, determining the best format and type to convey required information
  • Guide content creation and review final assets to ensure content needs are met

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry-relevant job experience, internship experiences and or school work/classes/research.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Library Science, Information Management, Journalism, Technical Writing, Communication, other) with 4+years of relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in content design, information architecture, interaction design or instructional design
  • 2+ years experience working with technical content and complex concepts

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience with content management systems and content toolchains
  • 4+ years experience with content modeling and single-source delivery to multiple digital experiences, on and off domain
  • 4+ years experience with content management systems and content toolchains
  • Portfolio and samples that demonstrate experience in shaping experiences through content
