The Communications Division (DCC) of the Knowledge, Innovation and Communications Sector (KIC) uses digital intelligence, data and creativity to help position the IDB Group as the preferred partner for development in the region. We are looking for an experienced blog and web Content Editor who is a great storyteller to join our communications team! As a Content Editor and Blog Manager, your main duty will be to develop stories about how the IDB is improving the lives of the people in Latin America and the Caribbean and to ensure the positioning and performance of the blog.

What you’ll do:
We are looking for a passionate Content Editor and blog manager to research, plan, write and edit Mejorando Vidas and web content. The successful candidate should be a skilled writer and researcher, with an eye for detail and an understanding of the special web writing requirements. The goal is to manage the Improving Lives blog, and content production in collaboration with the communicators to produce creative web and social content to reach our audiences.
What you’ll need:
Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in advertising, journalism, communications, or similar field.
Experience: At least 4 years of experience managing content production, edition and creation for web, blogs and social media. Knowledge in blog performance and producing reports.
Languages: English and Spanish are required.
