How You Can Make an Impact

Content is an integral part of delivering on our product promise of simplifying finance & a key lever for the success of our marketing programs across channels. We want to establish a unique and interesting voice to discuss personal finance and continue to create content that stands out. From ‘Unintentional Financial Advice from Schitt’s Creek’ to ‘Ultimate Guide for Debt Snowball Method’ the variety in our writing goes beyond just the basics.

We are looking for an experienced content strategist to lead our content initiatives across channels with focus on SEO and play an integral role in scaling our marketing initiatives. As the custodian of the Credello brand voice, this is an exciting opportunity for you to shape & implement a new age brand in the personal finance space through your content.

In your day-to-day you will:

  • Plan, coordinate, write & edit content for our website- including content to enable SEO, PR & Social media channels.
  • Manage a team of writers in a fast-paced work environment & implement existing quality standards for them, including brand voice cohesiveness, information correctness, depth & SEO optimization.
  • Provide feedback to solidify our existing content workflow process and elevate the level of content deliverables.
  • Be on top of trends relevant to our target audience and drive topics that will be shareable, interesting for readers and interesting for publications & journalists alike.
  • Partner with marketing teams in co-creating plans for marketing campaigns & contribute ideas to grow our user base.
  • Collaborate closely with Product & Design teams to help shape our product experience through UX writing, messaging tests and more. 

What Best Fit Looks Like

The requirements for this role include:

  • 10-15 years of content writing experience, with experience as an Editor
  • Experience working in personal finance domain, with a knack for turning complex financial concepts in to layman conversations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current SEO best practices for content development.
  • Product marketing exposure & experience of building a community for a B2C brand is a huge plus.
  • Excellent at prioritization and handling multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to complement creativity with analytical approach.
  • Self-directed and passionate about experimenting with new initiatives.
  • Extremely collaborative. Experience working with global teams is a plus.
  • Comfortable with change & a fast-paced agile environment.
