Your Impact:

• Works to prepare SOPs, Technical Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, training materials, and other procedures. Assists in the development of project plans, proposals, procurement SOWs, and other support as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION 

Unusual or Special Physical Requirements of Position

• Requires carrying a laptop computer, and paper documents (drawings, reports, procedures, etc.) between different buildings.
• Lifts and carries items up to 25 pounds, sometimes up and down stairways, where lifting devices and hoists are not available.
• Ability to use hearing and vision protection.

Description of Work Environment

• The position covers configuration and documentation management for a test complex spanning a city block in multiple buildings, but the majority of the work will be indoors in an office.
• High-energy test facilities and their support equipment contain high pressures, voltages, temperatures and high noise levels.
• Materials used and tested in the facilities may be hazardous.
• The position may be asked to travel off-site to work with external teams.

Criticality of Attendance

The hiring organization works a “compressed” schedule with 9-hour days and every other Friday off. Work hours are 6:30 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime is sometimes necessary to support meetings, test schedules, and test operations. A compressed work schedule is not required for this position and an alternate schedule may be approved at the sole discretion of the company. Regular daily attendance is required to maintain team effectiveness.

Other Essential Functions

Must be able to obtain a NASA badge, gain access to the facilities, and pass a Security Clearance as required by the employer.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's Degree in English or a similar field and 5+ years of experience.
• Proficient written, verbal, and presentation skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment, as well as the ability to work effectively with minimal guidance.

Qualifications We Desire

• Experience with regulated document control in a government environment.
• PPA Certified Procedure Writer.
