Job description

You will lead, plan, and support content strategy initiatives across multiple clients to work in tandem with the experience design capability within Jellyfish. You will mentor and coach content strategists and executives in the completion of project deliverables. The successful candidate is a strong strategist able to design for adaptive, intelligent, user-centric, quality content.

In addition to the strong strategic mindset, we are looking for an individual who is proficient in both content and systems design. Someone who understands and advocates for content and user experience strategy and its value, and is able to build a strong value proposition and content strategy roadmaps for our clients. Someone who can speak the same language with UX designers, editors, writers, SEO practitioners, visual designers and developers.

Responsibilities

  • Assess content opportunities to develop content and user experience strategies that meet client goals and deliver excellent user experience
  • Lead the development of content strategy deliverables (content inventories, audits, gap analyses, taxonomic systems, metadata, style and tone of voice guides CMS documentation and training, etc.)
  • Develop comprehensive content requirements, content models, and business rules for meaningful content presentation and personalization opportunities
  • Understand key audiences, set content goals, and performance metrics
  • Strategically plan and design a long-term vision for content by providing vision and recommendations, concepts, governance, quality checklists and guidelines
  • Help establish content governance guidelines and help build effective workflows for clients with large, multinational digital footprints
  • Collaborate with UX designers, developers, SEO practitioners, visual designers, and writers to create content requirements and guidelines
  • Assist with large-scale content migration projects across multiple globally distributed teams and disciplines
  • Provide content leadership internally and for the clients; contribute to the process development
  • Design and implement content strategies focusing on presenting the right content at the right time to drive engagement, conversions, or improve usability
  • Be a content strategy evangelist within Jellyfish, aiding with the discipline's integration within the organization

Requirements:

  • Experience in content creation and management for online experiences, websites, and other digital media, including managing web content production and publishing
  • Bachelor degree or higher in a related field, such as information or library science, computer science, linguistics, journalism, marketing, technical writing, design or software development
  • Familiarity with content modeling, information architecture, information design, and UX
  • Experience with ongoing content recommendations and cross-channel optimization techniques
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and delegating tasks
  • Deep understanding of current and future digital trends across all platforms
  • Understanding of UX, SEO, and SEM principles and methodologies
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience with enterprise-level content management systems (Sitecore, AEM, WordPress, Drupal, experience preferred)
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, experience with digital analytics packages is a must
