The market for private investments is expected to grow by $2 trillion in the next decade but remains largely inaccessible to the majority of non-institutional investors. Our platform provides exclusive educational content, personalized guidance, bespoke investment options, and a streamlined investment process to help make these investments more accessible than ever before. 

Financial education and analysis are often overwhelming and boring. It’s either packed with jargon, which makes the reader feel like they’re in over their heads from page one, or it’s so self-absorbed that it fails to convey how financial concepts impact the real world.  

As our first content strategist, you will lead the development of a new style of financial education that provides investors with an easy-to-understand, exciting, and actionable approach to learning about and evolving their investment strategy. 

You will establish our voice, tone, and style across the brand, working closely with the founders, product, advisory services, and the investment team. Through your writing and editing, you will craft an investor experience that is equal parts interesting, coherent, and differentiated across our articles (internal and external), software products, and videos.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Developing content frameworks, product narratives, and style guides to establish the foundation for how L I T communicates with users
  • Partnering closely with the founding team, Product Org, Head of Investment Research, and Advisory Services team to prototype, test, and rapidly launch education ideas to make sure we’re building a valuable experience
  • Leveraging your financial expertise to compose and edit educational materials, product copy, and marketing content
  • Guiding content strategy for product launches, campaigns, experiments, and programs to ensure consistency at every touchpoint
  • Harnessing research to inform solutions that balance audience needs with business goals
  • Writing clear, engaging copy that is equally insightful, educational, and actionable 
  • Champion the L I T brand voice and style across all channels

About You

You are passionate about financial markets and investing and have a knack for making complex concepts easy to understand. You love breathing life and personality into your work and creating frameworks that result in engaging, approachable, and delightful educational and analytical content. You thrive in situations that are rife with uncertainty and enjoy collaborating with a diverse mix of experts and testing ideas quickly and iteratively to see what delivers the most value. 

Required Skills

  • Experience and passion for writing and editing investment content 
  • 6+ years of experience writing for digital audiences, communicating complex finance topics
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to synthesize detailed and divergent inputs and document rationale for why certain feedback was integrated or omitted from a piece
  • Experience defining and ensuring consistency of writing tone, style, and voice for a brand
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Deadline-driven with strong time management skills

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices
  • Understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking
  • Experience scripting and or storyboarding for video content
