The Level design team is looking for an experienced Lead Content Designer to help craft the next evolution of our tone of voice and elevate our writing across multiple channels. Level Design is a hybrid team of brand and product thinkers passionate about changing the way we pay for things. We value craft and collaboration above all, and we’re looking for an experienced content designer to join us on our journey.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop Level’s voice and tone while training and mentoring writers, marketers, and product teams across the company to bring it to life
  • Transform jargon into words that help users move forward with confidence and ease
  • Create dynamic partnerships with product designers and marketers to co-design content structures and layouts, terms, first-time experiences, and microcopy
  • Move from creating content to solve specific product problems to strategically evolving the overall program — the brand voice, content processes, frameworks, and systems
  • Partner with the brand and visual designers to intentionally express personality and emotion in moments where our brand connects with the user

Who you are:

  • Creatively brave and willing to push to the edges
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • An independent self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent management skills and strong leadership potential and/or experience
  • 8+ years experience in content design or a related field
  • Experience working with a variety of cross-functional partners and stakeholders (e.g. product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists)
  • Comfortable working with executives
  • Native or native-level English language speaker and writer

This position has a minimum base salary of $120,000 and a midpoint base salary of $140,000. The base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for equity awards.
