LAC Federal is seeking a Web Content Strategist to support the planning and design for a federal library and information center website to improve and boost engagement with the content through innovative and dynamic content. The Strategist will work with User Experience and Solutions Architects to develop, design, test, refine and launch customized content for a nation-wide audience consisting of information resources, training materials, an online purchasing portal, and interactive feature. This a full-remote position.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement content strategies for library websites
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce engaging, informative, and error-free content
Utilize analytics to measure the effectiveness of content and adjust strategies accordingly
Create and maintain editorial calendars, ensuring content is published on time and on-brand
Manage content updates, ensuring that all website pages are accurate and up-to-date
Identify and contribute to new content development opportunities
Stay current on trends in website content and suggest strategies for improvement
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field
3+ years of experience creating content for websites
Strong understanding of web content strategy, information architecture, and user experience
Familiarity with SEO best practices
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and web analytics tools
