Job description

Are you looking to join an innovative, digital-first marketing team focused on creating customized content and strategic delivery leveraging multiple mediums, within a test and learn approach? We’re seeking a Content Strategist to develop content strategies for our Lincoln Financial Network (LFN) businesses. Working in an agile pod structure, this person will play a pivotal role in our GTM content strategy by partnering closely with marketing colleagues, business partners and external stakeholders for Lincoln Financial Network to lead the content creation and delivery strategy designed to help achieve business goals and drive sales.

What you'll be doing

  • Leverages research and consumer/producer insights to create compelling content and messaging across multiple marketing mediums.
  • Creates content by developing compelling written dialogue that aligns to the buyer’s journey and needs of the target audience.
  • Develops written content for marketing collateral for financial professionals, agencies, and end consumers to highlight the value proposition of our product solutions.
  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Consults/influences/analyzes on content strategies for our target audiences to improve adoption and help us grow share and drive sales.
  • Communicates strategic content marketing plans and ensures they are understood by all stakeholders and team members.
  • Ensures more complex marketing collateral content is accurate, relevant, and consistent in terms of style, quality tone of voice, and which optimizes market awareness of Lincoln’s products and/or services.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends in the financial services industry, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future content strategies.
  • Builds relationships and partners with internal stakeholders, including product development, compliance, and legal partners, to help ensure all marketing content is in alignment with the business goals and objectives.
  • Uses resources to ensure content and collateral are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and consistent with Lincoln editorial and branding standards.

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

  • 4 year/bachelor’s degree required. Major in English preferred.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in marketing that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. 

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in Financial Services and Wealth Management

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
