Work as an integral part of our Enterprise Knowledge Management team to refactor and migrate content from an unstructured knowledge base to a structured DITA XML, CCMS. Author and edit technical content adhering to client's authoring standards aligning to client and associate time of need learning experiences. Content must be accurate, instructionally sound, structured in a minimalist style, reusable, and componentized, including business processes, how-to articles, troubleshooting guides, overviews, online help, and others. Utilize authoring tools: component content management system, iXiaSoft - driven by Oxygen, DITA XML and Share Point. Work closely with business partners, and Enterprise Knowledge Management content writers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and realign business content to enterprise content model.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of user content needs, develop requirements and estimates for deliverables, partnering with product owners and other stakeholders in the process.
  • Apply enterprise content strategy and principles to develop concise, consistent, high-value process content using instructional design and information typing methods.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to obtain information and validate content.
  • Design and Develop reusable content in the enterprise content management application.
  • Report progress of content deliverables to stakeholders and adhere to timelines.
  • Represent Enterprise KM on project teams.
  • Demonstrates domain, tool, and authoring expertise
  • Able to support multiple BU partners while working on deliverables.
  • Adhere to enterprise standards and style guide for enterprise KM.
  • Apply taxonomy standards in all content development.
  • Refactor and migrate on average 8-10 documents per week, averaging 2 pages each.
  • Perform other content related duties as assigned. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years experience in knowledge management and technical writing
  • Background in instructional design and technology methods
  • Understanding of knowledge content best practices and content lifecycle
  • Strong ability to produce structured based authoring using information typing practices
  • Manage content deliverable schedules.
  • Prior experience with component content management systems (DITA XML preferred)
  • Strong communication skills across a matrixed organization
