Provides management and analysis of business data for use in decision-making and organizational efficiency improvement initiatives.

Reports to: Deputy Program Manager

Job Duties:

Aggregates and performs statistical analysis on business data based on requests from project teams or senior leadership. Integrates data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensures data accuracy and integrity and updates data as needed. Writes queries or reports to provide data for various analytical projects. Interprets data to identify business trends, conduct root cause analysis of business problems, or suggest areas for process improvement

  • Performs and supports Web content updates based on new programmatic activities, enhancements to existing web content, input from subject matter experts and editorial boards
  • Expertise in publications layout and management, with prior experience in the writing, editing and production of newsletters, magazines, brochures and other print materials. 
  • Works with Government stakeholders to plan and support newsletters and other priority information rollouts to the public. 
  • Ensures content meets all previously identified standards for content development and publishing, including 508 compliance, plain language review, taxonomic tagging, and internal and external search engine optimization.
  • Makes data-driven recommendations for improvements to the website Content or social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, to improve consumer engagement and analyze the subsequent metrics to report insights.
  • Maintains continuous communications with government publications creators, and other relevant stakeholders to establish an understanding of content update requirements.
  • Maintains lists of the key constituents and stakeholders and updates standard operating procedures
  • Provides content-related site improvements and supporting functionality-related site improvements based on usability findings, metrics, user feedback, stakeholder input, and requests from Government stakeholders.
  • Will be assigned to single or multiple stakeholders to provide support in reviewing suggestions and obtaining approvals.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to analyze and report metrics for their web content pages, evaluate recommendations, and execute actions. 
  • Flexible and adaptive, with the ability to quickly change course and use multiple technologies to achieve required outcomes.
  • Provides daily decision updates to show progress towards meeting deadlines. 
  • Provides updates to leadership on the progress of page recommendations and approvals and addresses any questions or issues. 
  • Provides input to metrics shared with stakeholders on progress and estimates future work using the number of pages approved to stay on schedule. 
  • Provides daily updates to the dashboard, and input for weekly stakeholder meetings to communicate status and best practices. 

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in communications, journalism, or IT
  • 0-2 years or equivalent

Competencies: 

  • Ability to foster teamwork. Analytical thinking skills. Statistical knowledge. 

Technical expertise:

  • Computer skills. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Mathematical skills. Project management skills, Familiarity with 508 compliance, ensuring content is expressed in plain language, and content tagging are highly desired.

Requirements Programming Languages:

  • Drupal or equivalent content management system and/or HTML development skills a plus
  • MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • E-commerce/online store content, orders, inventory, and warehouse coordination

Clearance Requirement: Candidate must possess the ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
