✨ An 'Ask Me Anything' for aspiring Content Design leaders with Rachel McConnell Register now

McKesson requires new employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as defined by the CDC, subject to applicable, verified accommodation requests.

We’re in an era of unprecedented complexity in healthcare. Patient care is not where it should be. While many of the organizations delivering the care need to get much healthier, too. Therefore, our vision is to improve care in every setting — one product, one partner, one patient at a time. And we’re making this happen every day by touching virtually every aspect of healthcare. We partner with biopharma companies, care providers, pharmacies, manufacturers, governments and others to deliver the right medicines, medical products and healthcare services to the patients who need them, when they need them — safely and cost-effectively.

United by our ICARE values, our 80,000 employees work together every day to make better care possible for patients around the globe. McKesson is in the business of making healthcare happen. With over 185 years of experience, we touch the lives of patients in virtually every aspect of healthcare.

The Vision Center serves as a corporate showcase for all of McKesson’s solutions, products and services and routinely hosts employees, customers and guests of McKesson’s C-suite. It is a highly visible and tangible experience that brings the McKesson brand to life and supports our business partners’ objectives to drive new business.

The Content Manager role serves as the lead storyteller, historian, trainer and communications project leader for the Corporate Vision Center. In addition to superior verbal and written communication skills, the ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, and the ability to discern ambiguous requirements to generate clear, concise communications and stories. The right candidate will be comfortable with writing and executing various types of communications and programs with proven experience working effectively in a complex corporate environment. The candidate will also need strong project management skills as a key contributor in a complex environment to oversee multiple projects from the start to completion.

As the McKesson historian, the content manager will understand the breadth of McKesson’s 186 years in healthcare and tap into our collected artifacts to develop content as needed. This role will serve as a critical resource and knowledge base for less-experienced and new colleagues, with a clear understanding of McKesson’s history and vision for success moving forward.

This individual will need to be able to translate McKesson’s corporate story to a wide reach of audiences, from employees to customers, from investors to c-suite executives, while providing a seamless and professional experience to elevate the McKesson brand. As such, the candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining multiple/customized iterations of decks and accompanying scripts to create a seamless experience for our stakeholders and executives. In this role, the individual will need to be just as comfortable conveying the McKesson corporate story as they are at crafting it, with polish and approachability with every stakeholder.

The Content Manager will also train individuals from the Brand, Marketing and Communications team so there’s a lineup of people that can offer tours in both the on-site and virtual environments. This individual will need to be able to train/coach managers to executives to provide Vision Center tours, enabling a broad bench of hosts. Not only will they need to develop and maintain the basic tour training to on-board new trainers but provide quarterly training updates in conjunction with the release of the corporate story deck and stat sheet.

Because the decks, scripts and training must stay current – and evolve based on specific organizational and c-suite needs – the candidate will need to proactively build strong relationships across the organization with minimal direction. This role requires strong emotional intelligence and collaboration skills to work closely with executives and strategic business stakeholders throughout the organization in order to capture and accurately convey the company’s priorities in all aspects of their work. They will also need to interface frequently with the Corporate Events team as that team manages all of the onsite logistics for the Corporate Vision Center.

To enable greater flexibility and breadth for promoting the McKesson vision, this individual will oversee the research, implementation, development and execution of a new virtual version of the Corporate Vision Center, in collaboration with McKesson Technology and business stakeholders across the organization. This new virtual experience will be used across critical sales, marketing and tradeshow channels to support new business efforts and to engage customers/executives in remote and international environments. This individual will have responsibility to maintain the virtual experience and accompanying script/content evolution once it launches.

This role will report directly to the Director of Brand. Writing samples, such as scripts, articles, advertorials and long-form digital experiences, will be required for consideration.
