The Content Strategist coordinates requirements, identifies user needs, develops, plans, and manages cohesive messages across MINDBODY products. This role oversees cross-product narratives, manages content inventory, and creates transition plans for rebranding products.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Psychology, Interaction or Graphic Design, Technical Communication, Marketing or related field
  • 5-7+ years working in SaaS, content design, UX/UI design, or related field
  • Experience with diverse types of content, including brand voice, artificial intelligence, customer support, marketing, style guides, copyediting
  • Passion for effective writing on web and mobile platforms with a portfolio of work samples that illustrates your ability to solve business needs
  • Familiarity with B2B and B2C user needs and personas
  • Deep knowledge of design-thinking principles and methods
  • Understanding and hands-on work with research, testing, and prototyping
  • Strong communication skills—an effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator with excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Ability to navigate additional factors—legal, accessibility (ADA), localization, and translation
  • Comfort working in Outlook and desire to explore design tools like Sketch, UXPin, and Invision
  • Familiarity with AODA or WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA accessibility guidelines as they relate to UX content
  • Agile management platform use such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and Wrike
  • Familiarity with content management systems and analytics tools such as Pendo
  • Familiarity with UX means/methods of measuring UX content success qualitatively and quantitatively 

Principal duties & responsibilities

  • Oversee cross-product content by documenting, assessing, and managing the “content ecosystem”
  • Oversee user experience (UX) content initiatives—from implementing and documenting our company’s Voice and Tone to owning our copy best practices
  • Be an expert on content—from language to data visualization—that is customer-facing
  • Assess critical gaps in existing content, like narrative, policies, and support, and manage our content inventory
  • Drive and develop a “transition playbook” for all rebranding or debranding products that have been acquired or merged with MINDBODY
  • Be hands-on with writing, editing, and curating content with Shared Services, like WalkMe and connections to support content
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketers and marketing writers to ensure cohesive, meaningful narratives for product teams
  • Create case studies about in-product content—highlighting learned insights about terminology, messaging, and positioning
  • Implement design-thinking exercises for teams that are content focused, on an as-needed, consultative basis
  • Manage and ensure our Voice and Tone standards, patterns, and conventions are implemented effectively
  • Understand business goals and products—and help teams articulate ROI value of meaningful content
  • Coach and mentor UX writers
  • Actively participate in and lead new initiatives across the company
  • Identify new opportunities for content to improve products
  • Document our innovation journey through customer metrics, lessons learned, principles, customer feedback
  • Oversees product voice implementation/governance, and product support for all customer-facing content and provides support and cohesive messaging for UX writing team members
  • All other duties as assigned
