Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for custom projects and event/conference content creation on an annual basis
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure revenue and expense goals are met/exceeded
  • Manage highly functional team and workload distribution
  • Cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, events and edit teams
  • Proactively navigate and resolve barriers or differences in perspective
  • Conduct market research to provide insight and guide business strategy to enhance current products or create new offerings; identifying and evaluating competitive product characteristics, market share, pricing and advertising
  • Conference/event content creation
  • Actively gather attendee, speaker and client feedback to understand what is working and what is not with conferences/events and custom projects to evolve future programs
  • Update existing and conceptualize new award and recognition programs to reflect current industry trends and needs
  • Communicate with award and recognition participants regarding honor status, promotional packages and subsequent events related to the program
  • Supervision of cross-channel custom content marketing programs for a broad range of clients
  • Oversee and coordinate custom content implementation, marketing activations and analytics
  • Oversee communications both internally, attendee and client-focused
  • Provide client service and administrative support; attend meetings and assist with other project management

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare industry is required
  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional communications role managing content-oriented projects
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong ability to collaborate and work as a team
  • Understanding of tracking and reporting of client-related success metrics including leads generated, web traffic, content sharing, registrations, etc.
  • Experience directing writers, video and audio producers, graphic artists, designers and photographers 
  • Portfolio with work samples demonstrating media storytelling in digital and print environments
  • Budget oversight - management, analysis and reconciliation
  • Excellent writing, editing, proof-reading and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the instinct to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and thrive in a very fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to think on his/her feet and offer solutions when faced with challenges
  • Demonstrate creativity and agility
  • Flawless writing and editing
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferences

  • Experience in marketing is preferred
  • Experience in the media industry is a plus
  • CMP preferred
  • Active consumer and participant in digital/social media

This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
