What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?

  • Create useful and meaningful designs that will help the users find information and complete their tasks effectively.
  • Work closely with other designers, product, and strategy teams as well as other key business stakeholders to understand user needs and determine the best design.
  • Develop clear and engaging designs/content and microcopy that are consistent with the brand.
  • Perform design/content analysis to assess how well the existing experience is performing.
  • Ability to come up with diverse creative solutions and test them with users.
  • Drive consistency across all portals and experiences.
  • Develop a solid understanding of our audience to inform the experience that will be best suited for them.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure that the design or content best meets the member's needs, regulatory requirements, and legal requirements
  • Interpret analytics, the voice of the customer, market feedback, user research and any relevant collateral as needed.
  • Be the voice of the customer in any design-related decisions.

What skills/attributes are

  • 10+ years of experience in, user experience design, Interaction design, user interface design, information architecture, content strategy, UX writing, or similar roles.
  • 4+ years of experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including Technology, Product, Operations, Business, Analytics, Voice of the Customer, etc.
  • 4+ years incorporating user feedback in the design process (user research, NPS, Voice of the customer, user data).
  • 4+ years of experience presenting and facilitating to stakeholders (up to executive level leadership).
  • 4+ years of designing for omni and/or cross-channel experiences (non-marketing).
  • A strong portfolio of relevant design work, including file attachments or a link to the website with any required passwords.

What skills/attributes are preferred

  • Experience in using A/B and multi-variate testing information and analytics to identify improvements and continually optimize based on data and defined success measures.
  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Miro and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with working in and contributing to an evolving design system, best practices and guidelines.
  • Degree or certifications in Human Centered Design.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of front-end development (for context).
  • Experience or working knowledge of design for web accessibility.
  • Experience designing for native mobile apps
  • Experience with Agile product process.
