Job description

Large trade association seeks a Content Manager, who is a great storyteller, creative thinker, and writer to successfully engage members and help them maximize their memberships. Our members have so many great benefits at their fingertips, but sometimes they need an extra push to remind them of all we have to offer. We’re a diverse team of creative, strategic, operational, and tactical professionals. We show up with great ideas and figure out how to make them happen. This manager will be a skilled communicator who helps NAHB members get the most out of their memberships by writing emails, web copy, blog posts, scripts, and social media posts to publicize the products, programs, events, and member benefits for the nation’s leading residential building association.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in communications, writing, editing, and PR
  • Experience writing for the web, blog posts and social media
  • Experience with marketing automation software (Magnet Mail)
  • Strong project management, problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

Minimum of three years of professional communications and content development experience. Familiarity with associations and new home construction and experience managing the production process are a plus.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) helps its members build communities. Each year, NAHB’s members construct about 80% of the new homes built in the United States, both single-family and multifamily. A federation of more than 800 state and local associations, NAHB represents more than 140,000 members. About one-third are home builders and remodelers. Other members work in closely related specialties, such as sales and marketing, housing finance, and manufacturing and supplying building materials.
