And much like the industry we represent, we have a dynamic, diverse, and inclusive culture, grounded in trust, hospitality, collaboration and innovation. These are the core values that inspire our work, and what we are looking for in an Instructional Content Editor for our Training & Certification products.
The learning products offered by the National Restaurant Association reach nearly two million learners each year. Our ambition is to provide our global audience with innovative, engaging training and certifications across multiple platforms. We produce a wide variety of products across hospitality segments—from textbooks to custom online courses—through our ServSafe, ServSuccess, and AHLEI brands, among others. The portfolio is centered on digital offerings but includes a significant volume of print-based deliverables as well.
As the Instructional Content Editor, you will play an integral role as part of the editorial function and voice for our training and educational products, collaborating with Instructional Design, Creative Services, Media, and Product Development teams and others.
Ideal candidates bring a minimum of three years of experience editing for Educational, Training or Certification products, across print and online delivery, including setting the vision for quality and best practices. Must bring a thorough knowledge of The Chicago Manual Style (or professional style equivalent), and house style guides, strong copywriting skills and proven experience working with course authoring software. The role requires a highly thoughtful and confident communicator and collaborator, with outstanding attention to detail and project management skills. You will thrive in this role if you are energized by a fast-paced and fluid work environment, and bring an unflappable, can-do attitude.
The position may operate with hybrid flexibility out of our Chicago, Orlando or Lansing, MI offices.
The work you will do as part of our Editorial team will help impact our continued efforts to develop a strong industry workforce. We look forward to hearing from you!
