Blue Ribbon Studio (BRS) is the center of engagement and development for Nike’s Design community. BRS operates as a physical maker-space and education lab, proving resources and programming for the company’s 700+ designers in three key areas: creation, connection, and cultivation. BRS also plays an integral support role for Nike’s purpose initiatives and NikeUNITED Networks. Our purpose is to nurture and inspire Nike designers through a series of offerings that range from hands-on experience, creative conversations, to skill-building classes.


BRS is looking for a Content Strategist to inspire participation, meaningful communication, and engagement across Nike Design. This is essential in crafting connections and community across the spectrum of designers working in different disciplines, categories, and functions. A successful Content Stagiest at BRS is someone who’s entrepreneurial, collaborative, loves to share ideas, and knows how to translate multiple perspectives and workstreams into organized deliverables. This role is responsible for cross functional interactions and clear and consistent communications with Nike leadership, teammates, and external partners.


Content creation at BRS vary in scope and scale across digital, social, and printed publications resulting in a dynamic work environment. Examples include programs and event communications, internal design publications, special collection library curation and oversight, and research and development connecting macro trends to future thinking creative speakers, instructors, presenters for BRS programs. You will be a key player in developing communication strategy for BRS and Nike Design projects and programs. These responsibilities include content creation, copy editing, managing timelines, budget planning, and managing internal and external relationships.


You will work with all team members and functions within BRS and Nike Design. This includes Administration, Studio Specialist, Program Managers, Designers, and Operations. You will report to the Design Culture and Community Programs Director. Beyond BRS, you will have an unmatched opportunity to collaborate across the Nike matrix, including Design leadership, Innovation, Insights, Sports and Influencer Marketing, Communications and Product Design, and brand Creative. Additionally, you will support external relationships with vendors and partners.

  • Strong visual and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent
  • 3+ years experience with project management
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Keynote, Outlook, And Adobe suite
