User Experience Writer

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We're looking to hire a User Experience Writer for a Fortune 500 financial services client. Teams are very collaborative and have a passion for creating cutting edge customer experiences.

My direct Fortune 500 client is looking for someone to join the Content team to develop and implement content strategies for products and features that align with UX principles and business goals. This is a 6 – month contract + extension and possible convert to perm. The team is located in Plano, TX and Columbus, OH and the role is on-site 3 days/week. Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.

User Experience Writer Responsibilities:

• Work with design, product, and engineering teams to create user-friendly content that is accessible and intuitive for diverse audiences.
• Build and refine content taxonomies based on user feedback to improve content structure and navigation.
• Develop and implement content strategies for products and features that align with user experience principles and business goals.
• Craft clear, concise, and engaging content that communicates complex concepts effectively while maintaining the brand’s voice.
• Analyze content performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for content optimization and enhanced user experiences.
• Adhere to and help evolve content standards, including voice, tone, and content patterns.
• Collaborate with designers on design solutions and iterative prototypes to ensure content is integrated effectively.
• Ensure content follows governance rules and secure necessary approvals from legal, risk, and compliance partners.

User Experience Writer Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in content design or user experience writing, or equivalent experience in copywriting for digital experiences.
• Strong ability to develop content architectures and write clear, concise, user-focused content.
• Experience with accessibility guidelines and inclusive design to create user-friendly content.
• Familiarity with iterative design techniques, incorporating user feedback to continuously improve content.
• Proficient in content platforms and understanding of their impact on user experience.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new financial services products and offerings.
• Advanced copywriting skills, particularly in crafting headlines and calls to action that drive engagement and conversion.
• Experience in marketing, advertising, or branding for consumer products.
• Experience measuring content effectiveness through both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Expertise in storytelling and its role in user interaction.
• Knowledge of content strategy techniques, including heuristic audits, content matrices, site mapping, and pattern design.

*To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
