Job description
Optomi, in partnership with a premier partner in IT Services & Consulting, is seeking a Content Strategist to join a growing UX practice. This role is critical in designing and organizing content that ensures seamless discoverability, relevance, and alignment with strategic objectives. You'll have the opportunity to work across enterprise-level projects with a focus on applying data-driven content strategy and design principles.
Location: Remote (U.S. Based) - must be based in Pacific Time Zone
Employment Type: Long-term contract (minimum 6 months with option to extend or convert to full-time)
Pay Rate: $70-75/hour
Travel: Must be open to occasional travel to client headquarters if required (up to monthly travel)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct content research and craft engaging, accessible copy.
- Develop and refine taxonomy, metadata, tagging systems, and information architecture.
- Lead content design efforts, ensuring consistency and alignment across platforms.
- Analyze and synthesize complex datasets to inform content decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, research, and technology, to ensure cohesive execution.
- Provide strategic recommendations for sustainable content management practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Architecture, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience leading content initiatives and working as an individual contributor.
- Proficiency in data management, classification, taxonomy development, and information architecture.
- Familiarity with metadata standards and enterprise software tools.
- Experience with tools like Figma and Confluence.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
