Role Overview: As the Content Strategist & Storytelling Lead, you will be responsible for developing and leading content strategies that align with Otowngist’s overall vision and goals. You will oversee content creation across various channels, ensuring each story resonates with our audience while adhering to brand guidelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to craft content that informs, entertains, and drives engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement content strategies for Otowngist’s digital platforms, ensuring they align with the company’s goals and mission.
- Lead the creation of high-quality, engaging, and relevant content that resonates with our target audience.
- Develop and pitch story ideas to the team for articles, blog posts, podcasts, and social media content.
- Oversee editorial direction, ensuring content maintains a high standard and remains fresh, accurate, and on-brand.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure content aligns with marketing, communications, and business objectives.
- Monitor content performance and make data-driven adjustments to improve reach, engagement, and audience interaction.
- Ensure that Otowngist’s voice and storytelling approach are consistent across all channels, fostering a strong connection with our audience.
- Manage editorial calendars and ensure timely publication of content across platforms.
- Other roles as assigned by the CEO to support company goals and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in content strategy, storytelling, and content creation.
- Strong understanding of digital media, social media platforms, and audience engagement strategies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Creative thinking with the ability to generate fresh and engaging story ideas.
- Experience working with analytics tools to track content performance.
- Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively across different functions.
- A passion for storytelling, with a deep understanding of audience behavior and content trends.
- A portfolio or sample work demonstrating storytelling expertise is highly preferred.
