This role is eligible for a hybrid or remote work arrangement in which you can either work part-time at the company location and/or part-time remotely from your home. Several locations have been listed for marketing purposes but only one position is available.

A Content Development Specialist is a crucial creative role within the Vertical Marketing team for Hydrology. This individual has a passion for writing. They want to develop a deep understanding of our customer’s voice, our strategic direction and buying criteria, so they can build marketing materials to entice, excite and engage our customers. Working cross-functionally, this individual will be responsible for crafting thought leadership articles, advertisements, case studies, social media content and more. Marketing content and communications will support local and/or global commercial plans. Marketing copy and content pieces will be written in English and translated to German, French, Spanish, Chinese, and other languages as needed.

  • Responsible for timely creation of a variety of content types: including maintaining content development plan for content creation including, but not limited to blogs, ebooks, case studies, white papers, infographics, presentations, web material, etc.
  • Creates high-quality communications and new content for all marketing channels in cross-functional collaboration with internal partners, including product management, marketing and sales, as well as external partners. S/he is responsible for creating a creative brief / outline, interviewing subject matter authorities, conducting secondary research, synthesizing the information obtained and drafting the master written version or other marketing materials via copy deck, routing the material for changes with critical partners, and coordinating translations for approved content.
  • Drives the preparation of documentation for final production and visually inspects final files before and after delivery to Marketing Execution team, outside vendor, e-commerce team, or prior to posting on customer-facing blogs or to document sharing sites.
  • Updates and maintains content according to global standard processes. Updates other literature for download by internal and external customers, including version control, in collaboration with marketing, sales and product management, including translations.
  • Responsible for ensuring all communications adhere to global standards, both in grammatical accuracy but also to ensure the OTT HydroMet voice is carried through.
  • Lead content repository, including naming conventions, revision control, access, and overall organization.
  • Contributes to process improvements resulting in better content quality and/or shorter lead time, includes conducting content audits and improving content effectiveness.

Duties may also include:

  • Creates DOC-Ids and other documentation vital for the maintenance of literature in ERP, Digital Asset Management system, and on the websites.
  • Handles own daily work, project assignments and on-time completion of deliverables.
  • Supports creation of online market surveys and customer interview guides.
  • Perform industry, market, and competitor research to aid in the development of writing topics.
  • Conducting Voice of Customer (VoC) interviews, in person or over the phone. Travel may be required to visit customers.

Are you qualified:

  • A BA/BS in English, Communication, Technical Communication, Marketing or related field, advanced education preferred
  • 3 years of experience in copy writing in B2B, Environmental or Industrial setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proven knowledge of Adobe Suite to build and manipulate new and existing documentation is vital.

The salary range is what we, in good faith, believe the possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
