Job description

Our client, a top International Law Firm ranked by Fortune Magazine as the "Best Workplaces for Consulting & Professional Services", is looking for a Digital Content Marketing Specialist to bring onto their outstanding team.

Under the supervision of the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for overseeing all content-related facets of the firm's continuous website evolution.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the lead project manager and point of contact for all website content
  • Develop processes and implement tactics for content enhancements
  • Support development, updating, editing, routing, tagging and publishing of the website’s global content with a focus on SEO; types of assets include press releases, client alerts, blog posts, attorney bios, practice and industry pages, and other thought leadership
  • Ensure content maintains a consistent voice aligned with the firm's brand across all platforms and means of content distribution
  • Support SEO performance strategy
  • Initiate and collaborate on ideas to enhance the firm’s content marketing and website evolution
  • Liaison between website content authors, digital marketing, and external consultants to ensure content is optimized for posting
  • Collaborate with digital marketing team to monitor the impact of the firm’s website content for continuous improvement.
  • Keeps current with existing and emerging trends, best practices and new technologies
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • After firm orientation, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Available to work overtime, as required
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the area of global content
  • Experience successfully leading large-scale projects to fruition
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of technology industries and legal services
  • Intermediate understanding of website CMS platforms, online content distribution, web analytics and search engine optimization
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Prior professional services experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels within and outside of the firm

  • Keen ability to capture, distill and accurately describe the legal expertise and value of the firm, its practices and individual attorneys
  • A desire to continually learn and grow, both with best practices in law firm marketing communications and with the firm’s legal practices, business practices and the industries and technologies of our clients
  • Affinity for technology, both externally, as well as internally to support innovative marketing and business development efforts
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to anticipate problems as well as suggest and execute on solutions
  • Ability to prioritize ongoing tasks and significant projects as well as manage expectations of attorneys in relation to these projects
  • Strong client service ethic and interpersonal skills, capable of working seamlessly with high-level partners, marketing staff and colleagues in other administrative departments
  • Highly organized, efficient and extremely detailed oriented, with superior proofreading and fact-checking skills
  • Capable of staying productive and accurate under pressure with tight deadlines
