Penn State Abington is seeking a Web Content Specialist for the Office of Strategic Communications and Community Engagement. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications and will work with faculty, staff, students, and vendors to complete projects. Successful candidates should have an appreciation for working with diverse audiences and endeavor to raise the visibility and positive presence of Penn State Abington in the local community and Greater Philadelphia region.
The primary responsibilities for this position include:
Campus Website Management
Additional Digital Platform Management
Relationship Management
Additional Marketing and Digital Media Management
Experience in web management and marketing for higher education is preferred. The successful candidate must have experience in digital demand generation to reach target audiences.
This position requires a working knowledge of web content management systems. Previous experience with Drupal, HTML, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office 365 is preferred. Qualified candidates must possess superior understanding of technology, strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong relationship-building skills. Proven project management skills are essential as is the ability to meet deadlines, juggle competing priorities, and interface with a wide variety of constituents on a daily basis.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
This is an in-person position at an office located in Abington, PA with a flexible work environment.
This position also requires the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events.
