PeopleGrove is in the midst of a transformational year for the company, including an overhaul of our core product with a renewed focus on creating a delightful experience for our users. We’re looking for a UX writer who’s passionate about helping learners find their next step in life.

In this role, you’ll be driving impactful platform enhancements and creative new feature development. You’ll work closely with product managers and designers to create a product that our users love. You will also collaborate with product leadership to help define the product content roadmap. You must also be willing to roll up your sleeves and lay out the groundwork required to deliver on your vision for the product. You’ll be the voice of the product, ensure the product has a consistent, engaging tone, and integrate clear, engaging language into all our products.

ROLE LOGISTICS

This will be a contractor role, ranging from 20-30 hours per week, with a minimum of 20 hours guaranteed per week. There is an opportunity for this to become a full-time role in the future.

3 reasons you’ll love this job

  • You’ll drive UX writing strategy and creation across the entire product.
  • You’ll have a voice and a seat at the table.
  • You’ll have a huge impact on the product, and have the potential to change the lives of future leaders across the world.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create clear, concise, engaging, and consistent content and microcopy that helps users navigate and derive value from the product
  • Become an expert on our users, participate in user research, talk to users, and understand their needs
  • Be our team’s expert on the product’s voice, ensuring everything we release has clear, engaging copy that aligns with our overall brand voice
  • Collaborate with a variety of teams and product leadership to identify and prioritize ways in which we can improve our product’s UX copy
  • Work hands-on with product management, design, and engineering to bring product ideas to life
  • Define, track, and analyze metrics that inform the success of your work

What you’ll bring to PeopleGrove

  • 2+ years of experience in UX writing, including experience working with product, design, and engineering teams
  • The ability to write clear, concise, engaging content that meets the user where they are
  • Experience working with design to ensure that product designs and copy are aligned and work well together
  • Experience working with product managers to ensure that product copy aligns with our product vision and helps our products have the desired impact
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, user research, and testing to develop and test hypotheses and inform UX writing decisions and strategy
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills as well as a passion for serving user needs
  • Stellar organizational skills - you don’t let things get dropped and can balance many projects simultaneously
  • A strong motivation to make a positive impact on the world and help alumni and students find their next step in life
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with changing expectations and responsibilities
  • Ability to check your ego at the door
  • Comfortable with a largely remote team across multiple timezones
  • People that have worked with you will attest to the above
