Pillar4 Media is seeking a Content Marketing Strategist to join its fast-growing team.

As a member of the Digital Marketing team, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and other team members to ensure consistent, authoritative, and relevant media coverage for Pillar4 Media properties that drive organic traffic growth and the P&L.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Sr. SEO Associate, the Content Marketing Strategist will:

  • Create and execute content strategies on one or more Pillar4 Media properties for earning valuable media coverage and promotion from other publishers and partners.
  • Manage the promotions content creation process from start to finish, working with editorial teammates, designers, and freelancers to deliver content that will be featured in monthly campaigns.
  • Lead content brainstorming meetings for upcoming campaigns, using data and intensive research to pitch content ideas that help solve problems and gain valuable media coverage.
  • Drive cross-functional content and promotion campaigns in partnership with editorial, community, and brand partnerships teammates.
  • Collaborate with SEO teammates to effectively organize and feature promotional content on our Pillar4 Media properties.
  • Analyze data on campaign performance and conduct competitive and industry analysis.
  • Follow relevant news, trends, and competitors’ content, as well as conduct extensive research into topics related to your industry.
  • Contribute and execute new ideas to help us develop more efficient prospecting and promotion processes, and enhance the quality of our content.

What You Bring

  • 2-3 years of work experience in digital marketing, editorial, PR, or sales role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to build and influence relationships and compose effective communications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience maintaining a methodical process and high standard of excellence in your work, while balancing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Creative mindset and ability to craft ideas for compelling content that helps people.
  • Experience managing a content pipeline from initial idea to editing and publishing.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to organize and manipulate data, quickly understand data insights and use it to influence decision making.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with teammates, driving projects from start to finish.
  • Desire for a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Competitive drive and a hunger to learn.
