In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Software Technical Writer to join our team. This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States. 


  • Work with engineering, quality, product management, release management, and other subject matter experts to develop user-task-based documentation including conceptual overviews, step-by-step instructions, and configuration requirements
  • Actively participate in internal projects aimed at improving the Plex documentation site features and user experience
  • Continuously improve content based on feedback from internal and external users
  • Create a variety of learning assets including text, graphics, charts, diagrams, animations, and videos
  • Partner with other writers on the team to learn and adhere to internal content development style guide and information model
  • Bring innovative approaches to problem-solving, develop and propose new ideas, and actively participate in improving the quality of our content


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field 
  • 0-3 years of experience as an effective technical writer or similar role
  • Experience working with help authoring tools or content management systems
  • Experience with common style guides such as Chicago Manual of Style and Microsoft Manual of Style
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude; be enthusiastic about learning new technologies
  • Nice to have:
  • Background in enterprise resource planning and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with API documentation
  • Experience working with XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with localization processes and standards
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence or similar project management platforms
