Job description

As a Proposal Content Editor on our Product Information team, we’re looking to fill two openings on the team – one is supporting our Fixed Income investment area and the other is aligned with Real Estate. You’ll be responsible for positioning and promoting the sale of Principal Global Investors’ products and services through creation and review of investment content/narrative and review Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs). 

Success in this position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work simultaneously on multiple high priority requests and adhere to deadlines, the capacity to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities, and the ability to work well as part of a team and excel in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. In this role you’ll gain a deep understanding of Principal Global Investors (PGI) and the asset management industry! 

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Interact with investment professionals, product management compliance and other stakeholders to produce clear, concise, and accurate information supporting the growth of our business.
  • Source content gaps and liaise with subject matter experts throughout the organization to ensure capabilities and value proposition are clearly and accurately articulated in responses.
  • Analyze, interpret, and manage large amounts of qualitative information.
  • Review and update RFP content database and implementing quality review processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 6+ years relevant experience in the financial industry.
  • Previous experience in a financial writing, RFP, marketing, or sales capacity, preferably within a financial services or asset management company, desired.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of (or the ability to learn) Principal Global Investors product offerings and markets
  • Strong problem solving, project management, decision making, mentoring, consulting, and written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, exercise flexibility when dealing with people and effectively communicate with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and empowered to own each project from beginning to end while efficiently implementing processes and ensuring a high-quality product
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to learn systems and applications/databases used within the firm required.
  • Interest in CFA is desired.
  • FINRA Series 7 examination may be required depending on the product information needs

Work Environment

This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical work week), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
