The Team

As part of Prudential’s Enterprise Marketing Organization, the Content Marketing team collaborates across brands, business units and functions to drive Prudential’s purpose to make lives better by solving the financial challenges of our changing world. The Content Marketing Manager will make an active impact in achieving Prudential’s purpose by creating meaningful content experiences/journeys that inspire audiences to take positive financial actions.

The Content Marketing Manager develops, executes, and implements content marketing strategies and plans that engage, inform, and inspire target audiences while driving business outcomes. Prudential is looking for a talented individual who is independent, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity, as well as excited to help champion the power of Content Marketing in the organization. This role is open to both hybrid and remote candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Support strategy development and lead the execution of the brand content strategy and line of business campaigns to engage audiences and drive business outcomes (e.g., new brand campaigns, entering new distribution channels, launching new products/solutions, reaching a new target audience, etc.)
  • Manage day-to-day activities to drive execution of end-to-end content marketing strategies and plans (including research, insights, messaging, content asset and distribution, measurement, and reporting) to support B2B and B2C campaign objectives across the enterprise. Ensure consistency and alignment to brand strategy/campaigns.
  • Develop customer journeys and content lifecycle, programming, and editorial calendar. Responsible for content creation/curation, including repurposing, and distribution across multiple channels; partnering with Creative and Operations.
  • Partner internally across businesses and functions as well as externally (agencies) to create and curate content for internal and external audiences. Cultivate internal relationships to tap into the insights, research and expertise that exist within Prudential.
  • Span across disciplines to synthesize various inputs including research, insights, and subject matter expert interviews to develop a narrative that supports audience and business goals.
  • Keep current with external marketing, consumer, and industry trends – to generate new ideas and recommendations.

Your Expertise

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • BS degree in Marketing or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of marketing experience.
  • Content Strategy and Content Marketing experience, managing and developing digital content experiences.
  • Deep passion for content marketing, and established track record of embracing emerging trends, along with introducing and embedding innovative methods and best practices.
  • Creative thinking skilled at developing narratives to compellingly communicate a brand’s story, and a design sensibility to envision how content will be presented or distributed in a variety of formats.
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of measurement methods and data-driven thinking to gather key business and customer insights
  • Understand paid, owned, and earned media channels
  • Foundational, proven knowledge of all facets of digital marketing including SEO, user experience, email, social and web platforms.
  • Understand content publishing, deployment, promotion, measurement, and analysis.
  • Strong collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a multifaceted, dynamic, and continuously evolving matrix organization environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail coupled with the ability to understand the big picture.
  • B2B, B2B2C, and B2C experience preferred.
