The Process Chemistry Department is looking to hire at Technical Writer with proficiency in organic chemistry and/or chemical engineering who will be responsible for the generation of technical reports and other technical data to help support and facilitate the process development of clinical candidates. Types of reports/documents the technical writer is responsible for are: drug substance campaign reports, development reports, source documents supporting regulatory filings and potentially support of scientific publications alongside the primary author.
Responsibilities:
Write scientific/technical reports for end users from information and data provided by chemists and engineers
Write clearly and concisely to meet the needs of the target audience
Manage and track status of reports
Analyze information to accurately identify customer workflows
Collaborate closely with chemists and engineers to ensure timely completion of reports
Auditing of reports when necessary
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry (prefer organic chemistry classes and/or laboratory experience) or Chemical Engineering preferred; minimally a bachelor’s degree in a physical or life science
Advanced understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook and ChemDraw
Experience as a technical writer preferred, but not necessary if the candidate has experience performing technical writing as part of previous work (this could just be someone with a lot of lab and or writing experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Skilled at prioritization and multitasking
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively on teams by interacting with chemists and engineers
Motivated to meet deadlines while working in a fast paced environment
