Ideal Candidate
4 to 7 years of experience in a UX writer role, ideally as part of a product design team.
Expertise in content strategy, information architecture, and writing UI text and microcopy for products.
Demonstrated experience in defining and managing the personality, tone, voice, and other aspects of a product's content principles.
Collaborate with designers and other team members to quickly simplify sophisticated information for non-technical audiences.
Comfort with ambiguity as we scale our team and processes.
Inquisitiveness; the ability to ask specific questions to learn more information.
Capacity to work autonomously with a high degree of ownership.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Experience with workflow-driven B2C SaaS products.
Experience working with cross-functional and international teams.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the creation of standards and streamline processes to make sure our in-app language adheres to industry best practices and QuillBot’s design and writing standards.
Partner with UX researchers to test content and propose additional research to evaluate content.
Collaborate with other content writers to drive consistency across products leveraging voice, tone, and brand standards.
Partner with members of the design, product, and marketing teams to support new product and feature launches.
Participate in user research sessions, sprints, and workshops
Apply data and user research to design decisions.
Receive and incorporate design feedback.
Prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Navigate technical constraints and considerations with an engineering team
Coach and mentor junior UX writers and colleagues on UX writing.
