Modernize is seeking a Content Manager to join our Homeowner Experience team. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the organic marketing and content teams as you help develop new content, build the Modernize brand, evolve the website user experience and offerings, and facilitate homeowner decision making. You have a knack for understanding consumer preferences and web behaviors and are skilled at executing actionable ideas that have a long-lasting positive impact on channel performance. You excel in both B2B and B2C marketing strategy, with the ability to speak the language of both consumers and clients. You are both an analytical and creative marketer with the ability to generate innovative ideas grounded in data analysis. You effectively communicate impactful deliverables to stakeholders, including senior leadership, that will help propel the “brand promise” mission forward.  

Responsibilities

  • Produce on-site content on an editorial calendar, maintaining a focus on key messaging that impacts decision making throughout the consumer experience.
  • Pitch and implement user experience and user interface website improvements with a focus on conversion rate, current marketplace trends, user satisfaction and seamless navigation.
  • Work with design and development teams to execute a cohesive branded content strategy.
  • Perform content audits and analyze website user behavior and engagement trends to understand channel performance and pitch improvements.
  • Help with the strategy and implementation of showcasing E-E-A-T (expertise, experience, authority, and expertise) of the Modernize brand, offered services, and partners/clients throughout the website.
  • Manage client profiles and the “contractor comparison experience” on the website, helping to evolve the brand’s offerings to homeowners and create a more seamless decision-making process when choosing a contractor.
  • Help improve the Homeowner Resources Center experience, pitching and implementing updates and improvements based on user behavior and engagement.
  • Help with the strategy and implementation of co-branded content opportunities for clients and partners on the website.
  • Perform SERP and competitor analysis to evolve the organic marketing channel’s SEO strategy and search visibility/market share.
  • Pitch and implement user experience and data improvements to the website cost calculator tools.
  • Collaborate with the larger Homeowner Experience team to implement a multi-media content strategy across the website.

 Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in website content management and production.
  • 2+ years of experience with SEO and user behavior analytics.
  • 2+ years of experience with brand building and brand marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills; thrives in data analysis.
  • Very detail-oriented and organized; proven ability to multi-task and execute against multiple projects running in parallel paths.
  • Savvy with multi-media content strategy, implementation and analysis.
  • Deep understanding of online marketplace and consumer trends.
  • Able to be agile and adapt to evolving needs of the business.
  • Ability to produce deliverables to stakeholders that are valuable and worthwhile.
  • Skilled in taking a project from exploratory and conceptual version, through to final production assets.
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing is a plus.
  • Experience with UX/UI analytics and/or design is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel, WordPress, Google Analytics and HEAP is a plus.

The salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
