Job description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Web Content Strategist Contractor to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in optimizing our web content to enhance user experiences, boost conversion rates, and maintain a powerful and consistent brand narrative on renesas.com. You will be instrumental in maintaining document and content information architecture and taxonomy, ensuring our digital presence remains organized and effective. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be key as you engage with stakeholders across Renesas, including product lines, SEO specialists, UX designers, CMS authors, program managers, and developers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure web content adheres to brand and taxonomy guidelines, contributing to a consistent and recognizable brand image
- Develop and maintain a style guide for writing for the web best practices to set voice and tone standards
- Establish and implement content lifecycle management and governance practices for maintaining content lifecycles and taxonomy
- Define and apply content governance best practices to review key web pages before publishing
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to guide page strategy with innovative and creative web content approaches
- Represent web content strategy in major project milestone meetings, offering a global perspective
- Conduct competitive research to identify and apply best practices and content strategies from similar organizations
- Work closely with campaign managers and product line experts to develop and refine content roadmap strategies
- Conduct regular feedback sessions with internal stakeholders to gather insights and continuously enhance content management best practices, fostering a culture of ongoing improvement and collaboration
- Take ownership of all UX copy, ensuring it aligns with the brand voice and enhances the overall user experience across digital platforms
- Implement content updates and website changes based on strategic objectives and research findings
- Collaborate with the UX team to align strategies and stay updated with usability research
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with web usability, information architecture, and writing for the web
- Exceptional writer and storyteller, understanding what needs to be communicated and to which audience
- Proficiency with web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- Strong understanding of web best practices, including SEO, UX, and information architecture
- Strong knowledge of web content management systems (CMS) and related tools, preferably Drupal
- Passion for working in the web content-related field and experience in the semiconductor industry would be an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on adaptability and staying abreast of industry trends
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Can work autonomously to identify, investigate, and solve problems and blockers as they arise
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, with advanced skills in using pivot tables to analyze data and support strategic content decisions
- Flexibility to work in different time zones as needed
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field
