UX Writer
Location: Hybrid – Plano, TX or Columbus, OH
Hours: 40 hours/week
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire (with potential for full-time conversion)
Pay Rate: $45-50/hour
Robert Half is partnering with a Fortune 100 Financial Enterprise in their search for an experienced User Experience Writer who thrives in collaborative environments and has a strong foundation in the software and feature design process. This role will focus on crafting intuitive, user-centered content for features such as car-buying tools, loan application flows, rate calculators, and affordability estimators. You'll partner closely with the Lending UX Content Design team to help customers explore and engage with Loan products effectively.
This hybrid role requires 3 days per week in the office, with locations available in Plano, TX or Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, and stakeholders to design, test, and refine content for digital features and flows.
- Write clear, concise, and user-friendly content that guides customers through decision-making processes, such as applying for loans or calculating affordability.
- Advocate for user-centered design solutions while balancing feedback and input from multiple stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals, usability best practices, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation that communicates the content strategy, UX approach, and project scope.
- Participate in discovery sessions, scoping, and project planning to contribute to strategic initiatives.
- Present case studies and project insights to stakeholders, demonstrating the problem, insights, and solution clearly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software design: Collaborating on feature development for digital products (e.g., payment flows, sign-up processes, or settings features).
- Strong understanding of the UX design process, including problem identification, research, ideation, and iterative testing.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and craft user-friendly content that enhances the customer experience.
- A portfolio that clearly outlines projects, including the problem, research insights, solution approach, and final outcomes.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills: able to defend ideas while being open to incorporating stakeholder input.
- Comfort working in a regulated or highly collaborative environment (financial or agency experience is a plus).
- Experience working with tools like Figma, Miro, or similar UX design and collaboration platforms is a plus.
