Royal Greenwich is on a journey to being a fully digital council. We have recently published our first digital strategy, which describes our ambitions. To make our strategy into a reality, we are hiring a new digital, data and technology team to join our existing skillset.
The language we choose to communicate with our users is key to the organisation’s transformation. In your role as Content Designer, you will be at the forefront of this, leading content design for our products and services.
With a relentless focus on the user, you will be able to translate user feedback to content needs and user stories, mapping organisational needs to content development.
Using your ability to prototype content in a range of tools, you will develop user-focused content across multiple services and channels to create a seamless user experience. In doing so, you will take responsibility for content across all channels, ensuring consistent style and making changes to content consistently across whole services.
You may be based in a product team, or in a smaller service team working on specific pieces of content.
You will have strong communications skills, including the ability to translate business language into plain English, bridging the gap between a corporate service need and a user need.
At Greenwich, we offer a range of benefits which include:
At the moment, the role will be 100% remote working. As the covid pandemic abates, we would like you to work partly from the office and partly from home.
