Job description

Reports To: Sr. UI/UX Designer

This position will be responsible for creating written content that guides our users through our digital products and experiences. This role will work with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to design seamless experiences that facilitate ease of use, learning, and understanding of our products. You'll break down complex concepts and technical language to understand what options and limitations must be considered to make recommendations that provide the best possible experience for our users. The UX Writer will work closely with our platform product team in ensuring that we communicate to our users in a clear, consistent and user-centric manner.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with other team members to create and update features for our mobile apps, web apps, and other digital products
  • Ensure content and design solutions solve both user and business needs
  • Participating in other design teams activities such as discovery, research, concepting, wireframing and prototyping
  • Use data and user feedback to guide recommendations and content decisions
  • Present new solutions and recommendations to stakeholders, using expertise and persuasion to influence the product vision
  • Develop brand guidelines and standards for content, grammar, and tone consistency
  • Ensure online content complies with brand standards, legal and compliance
  • Write and edit website marketing content to support business needs
  • Support and collaborate with other teams for copywriting and technical writing projects.

Compliance:

  • Complies and enforces all policies and procedures.
  • Has successfully completed all required Compliance Training within the required time frame.
  • Has had no compliance-related corrective action during the current review period.

Education Requirements:

  • BA or MA in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX Design, or equivalent experience

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the tech industry creating user-focused digital content
  • Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A portfolio of work to demonstrate authored and edited web content
  • Examples of collaborating on projects to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand interactive experiences
  • Extensive experience planning for and developing microcopy content including instructional text, error and confirmation messages, taxonomy, and nomenclature
  • Passion for creating great user experiences with actionable knowledge of the digital landscape including current industry and user trends, emerging technologies, and standards
  • Ability to scope, organize and execute multiple projects with interrelated goals.
  • Experience writing marketing and sales-related content

Salary range USD $90k to $100k annual
