Your Mission

SADA is seeking an experienced Content Editor to push the SADA brand into new content territory while continuing to look for ways to optimize growth and innovation. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly grasp high-level technical and cloud computing concepts, stay on top of the latest industry trends, and be ready to parlay their insight into top-performing content. This role will assist in developing and editing high-quality, well-organized thought-leadership content for a tech-savvy audience. You’ll be involved in writing, proofing, copyediting, and fact-checking content in a wide range of formats including blogs, eBooks, one-pagers, white papers, landing pages, and more. You will conduct quality assurance and inspire, educate, and provide our audience with insights, best practices, and perspectives that will help them power their cloud journey.

As a Google Cloud Premier partner, SADA helps organizations harness the immense power of Google Cloud’s leading infrastructure, platform capabilities, and industry solutions to solve business challenges. In this role, you’ll be challenged to be creative, think big, and educate our audience on how they can use Google Cloud solutions to address their needs. The ideal candidate will have had previous work experience in journalism and/or digital content production and an exceptional body of work demonstrating the ability to package content. Job applicants should demonstrate exceptional proofreading and editing skills and have a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, quickly turning ideas into final products.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and/or editing compelling, clear, concise, and accurate public-facing content and materials that align with SADA’s content marketing strategy (blogs, tutorials, eBooks, guides, white papers, website and landing pages, data sheets, presentations, and more)
  • Managing an editorial calendar and pipeline and coordinating with the content marketing team to ensure posts fit into the broader SADA narrative
  • Reviewing and correcting material for content, style, and compliance with internal and external standards
  • Maintaining the highest editorial standards and developing a consistent brand voice for all marketing content
  • Reviewing final documents for accuracy and content completeness and editing content submitted by our subject matter experts to meet our quality bar
  • Collaborating with members of our marketing team and other content creators on problem-solving and efficiency improvement in the editorial process
  • Continuously curating, growing, and updating our content and resource library
  • Adding metadata/labels to improve searchability 
  • Conducting quality assurance on all content being produced and published
  • Analyzing content to understand gaps and identify opportunities to fill those gaps with new content

Expectations

Training - Ongoing with the first-week orientation at HQ followed by a 90-day onboarding schedule. Details of the timeline can be shared. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all onboarding will be temporarily conducted remotely.

Job Requirements

Required Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of editing/proofreading experience in journalism and/or content production
  • Ability to provide samples that demonstrate your experience producing public-facing content (i.e. blog posts, eBooks, white papers, and/or help center articles)
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and eye for grammatical, spelling, and other editing errors
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and be able to simultaneously handle multiple projects
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Highly reliable, ensuring deliverables are achieved within appropriate time frames
  • Ability to translate technical information into marketable language
  • Ability to comprehend a broad range of high-level technical concepts 
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, proactively communicate, and meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of accountability
  • Strong knowledge of SEO

Useful Qualifications: 

  • Experience developing and editing content in tech or the cloud computing space
