We’re looking for a Content Strategist who will be responsible for writing content and managing all technical aspects of our Help Center. If you’re an experienced technical writer with an eye for detail, a superior command of the English language, and comprehensive technical skills, we want to hear from you!

A day in the life of a Content Strategist

You write content that shapes our clients’ user experience. You use your in-depth knowledge of our software, our clients’ needs, and the customer journey to craft copy that helps users understand complex information and complete tasks easily. You also have the technical skills and competencies needed to manage our Salesforce Community platform, grow and maintain our Help Center, and assist with each new SentricHR release. You’re committed to improving the user experience using your writing and technical expertise.

More specifically, you:

  • Prepare and maintain documentation and training materials for SentricHR, including articles and videos for both internal and external audiences
  • Manage all elements of the Help Center (including content, styling, and engagement)
  • Provide UX writing (such as labels, warning messages, and empty states) for SentricHR
  • Write Release Notes for internal and external users
  • Study and learn SentricHR in order to effectively communicate and document its use
  • Determine and interpret the needs of end-users
  • Gather usability feedback from users, designers, and team members
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including assisting with client-facing emails and general wordsmithing

Are you right for the job?

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a similar technical discipline
  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience in a related role
  • You have proven technical writing and editing skills
  • You’re familiar with commonly used technical writing concepts, practices, and procedures
  • You’re familiar with technical writing form, structure, and notation conventions
  • You can familiarize yourself with Sentric’s voice and then maintain that voice and tone consistently across all content
  • You’re able to effectively translate and communicate technical information to non-technical individuals
  • You have strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • You have strong research skills, including the ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources
  • You’re highly motivated and work well both on your own and on a team
  • You’re able to follow and understand directions
  • You’re committed to continual learning
  • You’re able to meet aggressive deadlines
  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs, plus Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other video-editor software
  • You’re committed to our company values

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Technical certifications
  • Experience in web development and graphic design (proficiency in HTML/CSS a plus)
  • Knowledge of HR and/or Payroll software
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Communities or other online help technology
