Stax recently announced a strategic investment by Blue Point Capital Partners which will fuel a new chapter of growth in key areas across the firm including the expansion of our marketing efforts. To support our accelerated growth, Stax is expanding our marketing team and the new Content Marketing Specialist will play an integral role in this growth.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting and new opportunity at Stax. In this role, you will help us expand the Stax marketing function and be responsible for creating marketing content and thought leadership to support our global consulting practice. The Content Marketing Specialist will work with the marketing team, business subject matter experts, and leadership to create content for marketing campaigns, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and longer-form thought leadership content for both paid and earned media. This role will be based in our Chicago office location.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and subject matter experts to develop, draft and/or direct the development of compelling marketing content for external purposes which may include press releases, articles, whitepapers, market trends, etc.
  • Create audience-centric messages that resonate and foster audience-specific action steps.
  • Work with business-level subject matter experts to understand business offerings and industries and create related content.
  • Develop KPIs, analyze and report on content performance, and test and adjust content strategy for continued success.
  • Optimize new and existing content using data and effective SEO tactics; utilize SEO best practices and keyword strategies to increase website traffic.
  • Utilize content management tools for the production, organization, and aggregation of content.
  • Help develop a content strategy for social media channels to bring this strategy to life, test, and measure results
  • Develop and manage content calendar, coordinating efforts and calendar with the marketing team.
  • Build a network of effective freelancers (including writers and other content producers) to facilitate the production of high-quality content.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and make content recommendations to market and drive business.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing and editing; the candidate must share original samples of authored pieces that demonstrate expertise in writing for different channels (long form, short form).
  • 1-3 years of experience writing results-driven copy.
  • Track record of managing content projects from design to implementation.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines are required.
  • Ability to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise, and easily digestible manner for various audiences.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Attentiveness to detail is required to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaigns, WordPress, and CRM tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. Consulting, private equity, or financial services experience is a plus.
