The Lead Intranet Content Designer is responsible for the management, design, delivery and development of content on the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) intranet platform.
DVSA's intranet helps our c4,700 colleagues access the clear and accurate information they need to do their jobs efficiently and effectively and provides engaging, targeted internal communications.

You will ensure that our intranet platform maximises the use of these new tools and technology.
You'll ensure that content on our intranet platform is governed effectively and that it meets the needs of our users and our business, supporting delivery of DVSA's 5-year strategy.

Person specification
To succeed in this role, you can work in an agile environment and experience of working with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and goals. You have proven experience of managing content on an intranet platform, ideally in a SharePoint and Office365 environment.
You have experience in establishing policies and procedures to ensure day-to-day publishing of content on an intranet platform. You have extensive experience of writing for the intranet or web, with a proven ability to create content that is accessible and usable for all. You have experience of using content publishing tools to publish content and good working knowledge of accessibility regulations.
You have experience in requirements gathering, systems configuration and stakeholder management. You are a natural communicator and have proven experience of managing relationships with stakeholders.
You can demonstrate a deep understanding of how to create engaging digital content that meets a user and business needs. You have proven experience in using metrics (like Google Analytics) and user feedback to define, access performance and improve content. You have knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools and can demonstrate an understanding of the components of common web technology (HTML, CSS).
Additional Information
This role can be based in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle, Nottingham or Swansea, your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. This role is suitable for hybrid working, and therefore a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements. Hybrid working is a non-contractual arrangement where employees have the flexibility to work remotely combined with a minimum of 60% of their working time a month at either their principal workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, to carry out separate duties at alternative working locations or DVSA sites. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.

There will be Occasional travel to Nottingham, Bristol, Swansea, and other locations in the UK, including some overnight stays as part of this role.
Whilst we welcome applications from those looking to work with us on a part time basis, there is a business requirement, for the successful candidate to be able to work at least three days per week.
