Our fast-growing engineering and program support company works closely with large government transportation and transit agencies, where we provide support in development, design and construction management of various construction projects and we are currently seeking a professional Technical Writer to join our expanding team. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating and editing technical documents and training materials, explain complex information in a clear and concise manner and working with engineers and construction managers to ensure accuracy of depicted processes and descriptions. If you have previous experience as a Technical Writer in the construction or related industry, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit technical documents and manuals
  • Work with teams of engineers and construction managers to solicit input, comments and feedback
  • Research, develop and document technical design specifications and training materials
  • Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy records
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature

Qualifications:

  • Minimum required experience 2 years
  • Bachelors in Journalism, Technical Writing or related field
  • Prior experience with large-scale construction projects is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand highly technical information
