As a Content Strategist in the Bid Management – Operations, Content & Tools team you will be responsible for the story, graphics, digital delivery, production software and branding of B2B and B2G proposal output.

We are looking for a creative perspective, fresh thinking, and someone to help disrupt the current way of doing things. We need someone to take the technical complexity of telecommunications and make it simple for prospects to understand and be excited to make a move to T-Mobile. You will deliver relevant and engaging content that strengthens our brand and emotionally connects with our audiences.

As a content strategist, you fuse buyer behavior, persuasiveness, usability studies, and competitive analysis, to create content that incites action. You do your best work in fast-paced marketing environments and have an overwhelming bias for action. This role reports to the Manager and collaborates on planning and execution with designers, agencies, and many departments to create customer-facing proposal responses that effectively communicate T-Mobile’s value and help sales close deals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and proof content that brings messages to life in RFP responses and proactive proposals. Partner with product, marketing, support, and technical experts regularly to review and update existing content and create new content for articles, digital content, video scripts, sales enablement materials, product briefs, case studies and infographic copy, etc. Create graphics and video individually, or in partnership with agency vendors
  • Develop content frameworks that are scalable and flexible enough to support the needs of the segments, industries, and types of business proposals.
  • Create and curate stories that engage our target verticals and communicate value for our readers. Fuel our growth strategy with fresh ideas that help differentiate T-Mobile.
  • Create and maintain content maintenance calendars, style guides, taxonomies, and metadata frameworks. Ensure content is managed, and tagged appropriately to ensure seamless sharing. Collaborate with marketing and technology teams to develop content targeting and personalization rules.
  • Partner with marketing teams and vendors to identify content opportunities and threats and develop strategies to leverage or mitigate each, respectively.
  • Maintain an understanding of content assets and performance, conducting regular audits to ensure content is fresh and relevant. Through analytics report the trends and metrics for content usage, performance and improvement.
  • Test and optimize; always leverage data to drive future content decisions and optimize your creative approach to drive better results.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed. 

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience (especially involvement and certification in APMP) is just as valuable. 

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in a marketing-related content function in B2B or B2G environment. (Required) 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Writing/Copywriting/Editing: Exceptional creative writing and editing skills, including the ability to write in different styles for different audience types and goals (i.e., verticals, proactive vs reactive proposals, brochures, digital) (Required)
  • Content and graphic development: Proven expertise in developing content and graphics. Adept at content management best practices (Required)
  • Tools and technology: Must be tech savvy and willing to use tools and technology to manage workflow and execution of content delivery. Experience with proposal software or content management systems like Upland/Qvidian, RFPio, RocketDocs, Loopio, Folloze, etc. (Required)
  • Project Management: Excellent project management capabilities to stay on top of detail, and deliverables and anticipate and propose solutions to potential roadblocks to keep activities on track. Ability to work effectively and influence others in a matrixed environment including working within and among teams and influencing others at all levels to move projects forward. (Required)

This role is for candidates in the Overland Park, KS area, however, relocation may be available for qualified candidates.
