We are currently looking for a Content Strategist who will create, curate, and organize information to achieve communication and marketing objectives for our clients. Content Strategists are the people who ensure that the products we create for our clients are not just gorgeous, but usable, organized, and meaningful. Our work environment is highly collaborative, and so we want talented Content Strategists who are excited to team up with designers, strategists, and developers to create innovative content solutions. They need to have familiarity with the User Experience process and come from a background in library sciences, editorial management, marketing and/or content production & management. Our Content Strategists need to be comfortable dealing with both internal teams as well as external clients. We need someone ready to help interpret research findings; create lasting plans for legacy content, partner content and new content; create taxonomies and metadata frameworks; and more.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and coordinate content strategies for our clients.
  • A strong background, with experience working with large-scale websites as well as experience with content management systems and best practices for organizing and tagging content for the web environment.
  • Develop the information architecture, taxonomies, and strategies that explain how information should be structured.
  • Conduct web content inventories, current-state analysis, site audits, competitive assessments, user testing, and website metrics.
  • Partner with other team members, including UX-ers, visual designers, and developers to optimize the content elements based on usability, intuitiveness, consistency, and business metrics.
  • Building, maintaining, and updating campaign content calendars.
  • Propose new, out-of-the-box ways to bring difficult business-to-business stories to life on digital platforms.
  • Work closely with the client’s Product Owner using an Agile methodology.
  • Provide support in updating, maintaining, and creating metadata.
  • Define content standards and develop reports for clients.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience with content strategy.
  • Degree in a relevant field (English, Communications, Journalism, Computer Science).
  • Experience developing content solutions for large websites or applications.
  • Understanding of holistic user-centered design processes, and how content strategy fits in and elevates the work.
  • Experience implementing content strategies as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead content strategy across the entire web development process.
  • Experience working within Agile design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of the development and maintenance of both structured and unstructured content types.
  • Experience in writing, revising, sourcing, and aggregating content.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using data and analytics to support strategy.
