The Digital department lives under Marketing but services the entire organization’s digital needs. It primarily addresses all aspects and functions of the website and digital content development, while also exploring other digital platforms. The team is made up of two corresponding areas – Digital Properties and Multimedia – with both headed by a Director. We’re at the front end of eCommerce (ticket) transactions, representing millions of dollars in revenue, as well as the expression of our mission and brand identity, with a Digital Stage of mostly video content that is consumed by a national audience, as well as telling the story of the Kennedy Center and JFK Memorial and numerous brand campaigns including most recently our 50th Anniversary season. We’re working on both long-term strategic goals and immediate opportunities so each day can bring exciting new ideas and tasks while we also pursue a greater vision.
This position’s primary function is to prepare and publish pages for our thousands of events each year. Specifically, it will coordinate the creation of Digital Programs for each event that include information on the content, cast, production, and other aspects of each performance. The position will support the full user experience of how a patron accesses and consumes the Digital Program, and work with other Kennedy Center departments – most notably colleagues in the Public Relations and Marketing departments – as well as external companies to source, organize, create, and publish the content assets. The position will also assist in other web production projects as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
55% Editorial Coordination and Publishing – Builds and edits web pages by coordinating with internal and external departments to provide written content, images and other digital assets on a managed schedule, ensuring that all output is accurate, high quality, and consistent with Kennedy Center branding.
25% Project Management – Executes on digital initiatives – specifically Digital Programs -- as a hub of information, collaborating with resources across the organization, collecting deliverables from inception through execution to ensure quality and hit deadlines. Makes regular report on status available to supervisor as well as key stakeholders.
20% Support and Training – Acts as knowledge base on the Digital Program production process, helping to train other employees, troubleshoot issues, and identify improvements.

Work Environment
This position is eligible for flexible working arrangements, with at least 2-3 days per week required onsite. This will be at the discretion of the supervisor with possible adjustments with situational or job performance changes.
Must have availability to be on call for weekends in order to manage alerts and potential updates to digital programs.
