Job description

We are seeking a Technical Writer on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Restructure and rewrite existing Business Partner to our Client's and Unified Partner Program (UPP) program documentation according to policy, procedure, and process, linking legal, business logic, and vendor operations.
  • Document new MBP programs per the launch roadmap for various specialties launching or launched including AdTech, Creative, Agency, and Commerce specialties.
  • Build templates for documenting MBP programs including specialty criteria, standardized operating procedure, partner onboarding, monitoring, and off-boarding.
  • Document multiple and complex external program launches while supporting execution, tracking progress, identifying optimizations, and reporting progress.
  • Manage complex documentation projects across teams globally and create BEP playbooks as needed to simplify processes documentation.
  • Periodically review and amend documentation for all processes of MBP programs & specialties. Propose changes and recommend process improvements as appropriate.
  • Create engaging documentation & materials in a storytelling format and help condense complex topics into simple visuals and text for non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain wiki/website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
  • Conceptualize and offer creative solutions for improving documentation and various areas on internal sites.
  • Documentation around programs and coordinate with PMs to ensure they're completing documentation and they're compliant.
  • Help complete documentation. 
  • Create documents around the program.
  • Standardization of this documentation.
  • Consolidated and written in the same voice.
  •  Documentation or restructure all existing UPP program documentation according to policy, procedure, and process; linking legal, business logic, and vendor ops.
  •  Build templates for specialty criteria, standardized operating procedures including partner onboarding, monitoring, and off-boarding.
  • Program documentation is a key governance requirement for regulatory/audit compliance (internal as well as external).

Must-Haves: 

  • 4+ years of experience in technical writing, business writing, business development, operational strategy, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, and site maps.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with SMEs from teams, lead documentation reviews and organize program documentation.
  • Experience presenting complex policy-related content to general audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings and presenting to senior business executives.
  • Ability to track and present overall progress on documentation and changes needed for processes.
  • Extreme attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and analytical thinking ability.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Google Docs.
  • Writing experience but super helpful to have some experience editing wikis or websites
  • HTML/CSS skills would be super valuable.
  • Experience working with content management systems and/or help tools.

Education: 

  •  A Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communications or a related field, or an Engineering degree and equivalent writing experience.

Hours & Location: 

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be remote while COVID restrictions are in place. The expectation is to be onsite at our Customer’s San Francisco, CA, Menlo Park, CA, New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, Seattle WA offices once it is determined safe to do so.
