The Princeton Review and Tutor.com deliver best-in-class test prep, academic tutoring, and admissions counseling products, serving retail subscribers around the world as well as institutional partnerships with colleges and universities, K-12 school districts, and government agencies. We’re looking for the right person to assist the Content Director in the development of instructional and assessment materials across a range of academic disciplines (such as Math and ELA, with a focus on K-12 students) by managing projects executed by part-time content developers. The Content Manager – Academic Programs is primarily responsible for managing a robust network of content developers from within The Princeton Review’s group of instructors.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage content creation projects to fulfill company initiatives in the area of Academic programs, including retail products and institutional products. This may involve some creation of content, as well as the management of some projects independent of the Content Director.
  • Help develop and maintain a robust network of part-time content developers from within The Princeton Review’s group of instructors; manage freelancers and consultant when necessary. This will involve responsibility for some developers and teams independent of the Content Director.
  • Coordinate with the Content Director to ensure effective and accurate communication of program information as needed, including communication to teachers and to full-time staff.
  • Deliver the highest quality materials and resources on schedule and budget to support overall company goals for the academic success of our instructional content and customer satisfaction with our instructional methods and programs.

Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience in project management (preferably at an education company or similar organization)
  • Experience with the production of digital and print learning materials, including textbooks, tests, and online lesson presentations
  • Outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills with proven track record of managing multiple projects and tasks efficiently and simultaneously
  • Ability to partner with part-time developers in a remote/distributed environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skillset
  • Strong technical competencies, including high-level proficiency with Office365 applications; working knowledge of front-end web development concepts (eg, HTML/CSS) and related tools, and basic familiarity with project management and productivity tools (e.g, MS-Teams, Fogbugz/Manuscript, Trello, etc.) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalent real-world expertise, with preference for an advanced degree in education.
