Purpose

We are searching for a highly qualified marketing and web content coordinator to help support the marketing goals of UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. The marketing content coordinator must be creative, flexible and organized with the ability to handle many projects at once.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute deliverables for various projects as set by the team or to meet ongoing clinical needs including content creation for the blog, website, social media platforms, email campaigns, print collateral and more. Identify needs/gaps in our content library and regularly contribute new content ideas that help meet the immediate and long-term goals of the organization.
  • Manage 2 websites including written content, placement and layout, online directories, SEO content, and routine web maintenance. Review web infrastructure and work with a web developer to improve web conversion rates, oversee all phases of web development, provide strategic direction to web developer and partner programs, etc.
  • Conduct one-on-one interviews with clinicians or other experts for articles, videos, patient collateral, or other projects.  Write clear, concise and grammatically correct marketing copy and ensure all-around consistency of voice, style, tone etc. Copy edit all content to check for consistency and to correct all errors before publication.
  • Contribute content to daily social media posts and work to increase engagement and following.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications.
  • Two+ years of work experience as a marketing coordinator, content writer or similar role.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and content marketing.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and editing skills in English.
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Portfolio of published articles or other relevant content work.
  • Highly self-motivated and well organized. Interest in healthcare or a background in working in healthcare.
  • The ideal candidate will have outstanding writing skills, as well as prior experience with a range of marketing functions, including advertising, digital marketing, social media creation/management and an interest in learning about healthcare enterprise marketing strategy and branding.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.

Compliance:
