Topgolf is seeking a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will join a team who works collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, training & development specialists, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.


  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
  • Create and maintain the information architecture


  • High School Diploma, required
  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree in Information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, preferred
  • 5+ years¬†of previous work in operations, training, or HR
  • 2+ years¬†of Executive / Leadership stakeholder communication & management
  • 2+ years¬†Broad understanding of technology systems, tools, and processes
  • 2+ years¬†Demonstrated understanding of training curriculum and content development
  • Ability to work a range of different work schedules
  • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
  • Ability to analyze the information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for the greatest reader comprehension
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. (inclusive of writing and grammatical skills)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or related software
  • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
  • Ability to generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions
  • Ability to validate all technical material for consistency and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills
  • Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter¬†

Travel up to 20% - Period venue visits to assess the overall state of technology operations and to identify pain points for our Playmakers that could be rectified with documented processes and/or procedures and training.
