Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. As a Content Strategist/Senior Copywriter, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement highly complex strategies to influence target audience behavior in social media with the integration of a growing system of the firms messages
- Contribute thought leadership and recommendations to stakeholders on strategy plan execution to meet relevant business goals
- Partner with team members to align program/strategy components to strengthen the brands social media and other initiative, internally and externally
- Build relationships to understand stakeholders needs to better provide counsel in developing, aligning, executing, and comparing work often with competing priorities
- Assist team to apply research insights to market and target audience
- Develop positioning and channel activation strategy
- Give compelling presentations to internal teams and business partners as needed
- Ability to tell a story about the strategic and creative decisions that led to the work and its impact
- Collaborate and partner with teams across disciplines, as well as external agencies, to advance the strength of the brand
- Keep the project team updated and manage the sharing of critical information via project management technologies and other channels across multiple projects
- Leadership:
- Support development and execution of strategic direction and copywriting for visuals for your team and department
- Establish work priorities, allocate appropriate personal resources, and co-lead others through execution of work to align with firm objectives, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Inspire, influence, and mentor fellow creatives; share examples, set clear expectations, and provide timely feedback when necessary
- Create an inclusive, engaging team environment; exhibit generosity in sharing ideas, feedback, and care for others
Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Advertising, or related field required
- 7+ years of experience in marketing or related field
- Extensive knowledge of communication principles, tools, and strong partnerships alongside Art Director partners
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to serve as a Creative Copy consultant to firms stakeholders and business areas regarding messaging, it’s role in strategic program development, and delivery
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite uses; core competency/knowledge is a plus
- Strong understanding and ability to align copy with design direction
- Strong concepting ability as well as an eye for what makes an effective creative design and copy execution
- Leadership:
- Strong experience working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve results, including setting and sometimes leading creative messaging direction, establishing messaging priorities, and cementing the influence of creative copywriting
- Proven ability to work closely with Art Directors and Designer Partners to create show-stopping creative
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships, collaborate, influence, and build consensus at all levels
- Must be a collaborative thinker to improve processes and procedures
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Must be flexible and willing to explore different paths to achieve an outcome and adjust quickly to new circumstances and requests
- Must be motivated and resourceful – you can figure out how to move work forward if the path is unclear; you remain resilient and solutions oriented in the face of challenge
- Problem Solving:
- Must be able to gather information from multiple sources and to create clever, informed, and strategic messaging in parallel with art direction
- Must be able to think critically to solve unique problems and provide easily understood rationale for reactive creative needs
- Must be able to independently solve or partner with associates and stakeholders to solve highly complex, non-routine creative solutions
- Decision Making:
- Broad authority to make complex, unique decisions that impact team business processes, and projects with a high degree of autonomy
- Must be able to collaborate to quickly find creative solutions while balancing business needs and resources
- Must be comfortable in finding solutions for creative needs, helping to suggest and influence content creation, and offering solutions that extend beyond the copywriting role
- Must be able to partner directly with associates, manage multiple projects, and prioritize daily work
- Span of Influence:
- Expertise of copy craft and messaging strategy that can be used to better impact reach to branch teams, clients, and potential investors
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 or the hourly equivalent.
